Accessibility.
An eye care practice's website should be usable by people with low vision. That's the bar we build to. Last reviewed July 29, 2026.
Our commitment
The May Eye Care Center & Associates wants everyone — including patients with low vision, limited mobility, or assistive technology — to be able to use this website. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What's built in
- Text and background colors checked against WCAG AA contrast.
- Menus and interactive elements that work with a keyboard, including arrow-key navigation in the dropdown menus.
- Reduced-motion support: if your device asks for less animation, the site honors it.
- Meaningful alternative text on images.
- Body text set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
