Dr. Clymer is a board-certified optometrist who has a passion for clinical excellence in patient care. She earned her doctorate degree with highest clinical excellence from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry and upon graduation she completed an accredited, hospital-based, ocular disease residency from the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She has provided comprehensive eye examinations and medical eye care at May Eye Care Center since 2012.

Clinical excellence & professional leadership

Dr. Clymer earned her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) in 2014 after being evaluated against the highest standards of professional competence. In 2016, she earned Board Certification status after completing the requirements to become a Diplomate in the American Board of Optometry. She is deeply involved in professional leadership which has earned her several honors, including the 2021 Pennsylvania Young Optometrist of the Year.

Dr. Clymer is a long-term member of The Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA) and is a current Co-Chair of The Pennsylvania Diabetic Eye Health Alliance (PDEHA) whose mission is to target the public health concerns of diabetic patients. She has authored several medical eye management articles that have been featured in Modern Optometry and was recently honored to co-author a Juvenile Glaucoma article in Ophthalmology Glaucoma.

Dr. Clymer strives to provide each patient with the highest quality of care. She demonstrates an unwavering dedication to her patients and values the long-term relationships she has with them.
