Ophthalmology Billing & Coding Specialist
We are hiring an experienced ophthalmology billing and coding specialist to manage claims, coding, and reimbursement at our practice in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
The role
Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Code encounters using ophthalmic CPT and E&M guidelines
- Work denials, appeals, and accounts receivable
- Coordinate with payers and the clinical team on reimbursement
Qualifications
- Experience in ophthalmology or optometry billing and coding strongly preferred
- Knowledge of CPT, E&M, and payer rules
- Coding certification (e.g., CPC) a plus
- Detail-oriented and organized
